ST JAMES, Jamaica — Tourism Minister and Member of Parliament for St James East Central, Edmund Bartlett is urging users of the Elegant Corridor in Montego Bay to exercise care while travelling along the busy thoroughfare.

The minister expressed his concern after learning about the passing of two students of the John Rollins Success Primary School in St James and their driver, Kevin Hamilton, who were involved in a motor vehicle crash earlier today.

In expressing his sorrow at the loss, Minister Bartlett said, “I am extremely saddened to hear of the untimely deaths of two very promising young lives and that of their driver and also at the trauma the principal and staff are undoubtedly experiencing. I would like to use this opportunity to appeal to all drivers, to exercise care as they travel along our roadways to reduce fatalities.”

The minister went on to express condolences to the families and friends of the deceased. “This is a very unfortunate incident and I offer my condolences to the family and friends of those who have died including the staff and students of Success Primary School. I would also like to wish the other injured students a speedy recovery,” said Bartlett.
