‘Chucky’ found guilty on all counts
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Constable Collis ‘Chucky’ Brown has been found guilty on all charges including three counts of murder a short while ago.
Along with the three counts of murder he was also found guilty on conspiracy to murder and wounding with intent charges.
The verdict was handed down by the six-member jury consisting of two men and four women who deliberated for four hours minutes.
The police officer has been on trial for the January, 10, 2009, murder of Robert ‘Gutty’ Dawkins and the December 13, 2012 murder of Andrew Fearing and Dwayne Douglas
He was also tried on charges of wounding with intent and conspiracy to murder.
The seven-week trial which started on October 3, saw 11 witness being called by the prosecution and two character witnesses by the defence.
Evidence was also adduced from the statements of nine witnesses.
