‘Bolo’ shot dead in Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man identified only as ‘Bolo’ was shot dead in the community of Clarkestown near Mandeville in Manchester this morning.
Police reports are at about 11:00 am ‘Bolo’ was in a bar when men entered and shot him several times. Residents called the police and ‘Bolo’ was taken to the Mandeville Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Residents say that the deceased was not from the community but has been seen in the area for the past six months. Police told OBSERVER ONLINE that he had relocated to Clarkestown from Kingston, adding that they are seeking to formally identify the deceased and are urging residents to tell what they know.
The police are therefore urging anyone with information that can assist in their investigation to contact the Mandeville CIB at 876-962-2832, police 119 emergency number, 311 or the nearest police station.
The murder is the second homicide in the area in the past week.
On Saturday, November 17, 64-year-old Neville Chambers was shot dead at the entrance to Clarkestown.
