A technical team from the Ministry of Transport and Mining is to review alternative proposals to amendments in the Road Traffic Act, following a meeting with the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services (TODSS) and the Jamaica Association of Transport Owners and Operators (JATOO).

5. Medical doctor wants more resources channelled into prevention of crash, violence-related injuries
Dr Jason Toppin, a member of the Violence Prevention Alliance, is calling for proper resources to be channelled into the area of prevention of both violence related injuries and road traffic crashes, which are said to cost the healthcare sector about $12.6 billion annually.

The police have activated a High Alert for 11-year-old Marlon Stewart, otherwise called ‘JJ’, of Binns Road, Kingston 11 who has been reported missing since Tuesday, November 27.
9. ‘Death Squad’ trial: Mechanic denies being present at time of alleged police murder
A witness in the so-called ‘death squad’ trial, this morning testified that a mechanic, who was working on his car at a garage in Clarendon where Andrew Bisson was allegedly killed by three policemen, has denied that he was present.
10. Britain worse off under any Brexit scenario: government
Britain will be economically worse off in any scenario outside the EU, with a no-deal Brexit rendering GDP 9.3 per cent smaller than it would otherwise be in 15 years’ time, the government said Wednesday.
