Several residents detained in major police/military operation in St Andrew

KINGSTON, Jamaica — An undetermined number of residents, including females, were this morning detained during a joint police/ military operation in Ackee Walk, which is off Molynes Road in St Andrew.

OBSERVER ONLINE was informed that the individuals are to be taken to the Constant Spring Police Station for questioning.

The operation, which began about 5:30 am, is due to a flare-up of violence in the area, a police source said.

The lawmen are yet to disclose the number of residents in their custody.
