Emily puts wardrobe on show
Last Tuesday night, the rooftop of Eden Gardens Wellness resort was abuzz with activity as Miss Universe Jamaica 2018 Emily Maddison showcased her Miss Universe wardrobe with assistance from past contestants.
“The pieces are very stylish, so I’m very grateful and I know I’m going out there very confident as ever,” Maddison told the Jamaica Observer.
She departed on Wednesday for Bangkok, Thailand where she will compete in the 67th Miss Universe pageant scheduled for December 17.
“Maddison spoke about preparing for the pageant.
“It has been a very rigorous programme, from speech training, to gym training and building my confidence. You have to know what you’re selling, and be the best at selling it,” she said.
Her wardrobe comprised gowns and casual outfits designed by Indigo Soul’s Paula Hurlock, Stush Couture, Lee McLean, Chick N’ Trende, Di Trends, Mannequin Pieces, Stacey’s, Kat Couture and McDermoth Williams Couture.
“I can’t decide on a personal favourite because they are all very beautiful pieces and each of them represents something different,” Maddison explained.
As for her personal style? “T-shirts and shorts! But occasionally, I like to dress up.”
