Traffic rerouted from Grants Pen Road over the weekend
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Through-traffic will be restricted from a section of Grants Pen Road between Constant Spring and Shortwood roads tomorrow and Sunday, according to the National Works Agency (NWA).
The NWA) said the traffic restriction is to facilitate pipe-laying works in the vicinity of the Grants Pen Gully.
Manager, Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw said the activities are being undertaken by the National Water Commission (NWC)and forms part of the works to improve its water transmission lines under the larger Constant Spring Road Improvement Project.
The restrictions will start at 8:00am Saturday and should be lifted at 5:00 pm on Sunday.
Local traffic will be allowed access to the roadway during the period of works, the NWA said.
