Love Potions #creamy

Bar None

The Love Month continues with vim, vigour and vibrancy. In this week’s article, we share how to continue the romance shenanigans with eight creamy love potions. We strongly recommend that you try these at home! Mixologist Andrew Weir takes control of this Love Potions edition.

Meet our mixologist Andrew Weir, bartender at Russell’s T20 Restaurant & Sports Bar, Old Harbour

Thursday Food (TF): What do you like about Baileys Irish Cream? Andrew Weir (AW): I like that it has a smooth taste and that it possesses character. There is something special about Baileys!

TF: What is your favourite cream cocktail?

AW: The Chocolate Martini. I love it because it presents a chocolate twist on the martini. TF: How long have you been a bartender/mixologist? AW: For almost two years. I have found that I have a passion for creating pleasurable drinks.

TF: What is your style of mixology?

AW: I cater to the ladies! Ladies love cocktails that are creamy, frozen and filled with flavour and colour. I experience great fulfilment when I hear ‘OMG! This is too good!’

TF: Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

AW: As a master mixologist, travelling and inspiring young bartending professionals to choose the bartending profession because they love it and can make a difference in providing high-quality customer service. Cheers to romance and creamy love potions!
