CTOC appealing to victims of fraud in Newport West to come forward
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Investigators from the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (CTOC) are appealing to individuals who may have been fleeced out of monies in Newport West (the wharves in Kingston) to contact them.
According to the detectives, intense investigations have led to the arrest of a man suspected to have posed as a Jamaica Customs employee and collected sums of money in exchange for the promise of help people in transacting business.
The investigators are now asking people who may have been victims of the man’s ruse to contact them at 876-967-1389. People may also visit the C-TOC office at 876-967-1389.
