Portland police seize ganja worth $4.7m

PORTLAND, Jamaica — The Portland police last night seized 950 pounds of ganja worth an estimated $4.7 million, during an operation at Norwich in the parish.

Reports are that about 1:00 pm lawmen were in the area when a premises was searched and 15 bags containing the ganja was seen inside a one-bedroom board dwelling.

No one was arrested in relation to this seizure.
