Beez Hive getting a buzz

Up-and-coming deejay Beez Hive says he is getting acclaim from the single Beez Hive .

“They are crazy for me, especially the ladies,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

The track, released in 2015 and produced by Steam Team Productions JA, got a second lease on life due to social media.

“It was really a clip of me on 2017 Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall audition go viral. Everybody start put [it] on WhatsApp status, then World Dawg aka Facebook Hero do a skit on it and it just take off,” he explained.

Though he did not pass the audition round of the competition, the former St Thomas Technical High student was determined to get a toehold in the music industry.

“From I was going school, I used to skip school and hang at the studio with my artiste friend Ras Nagas,” said the 31-year-old, whose given name is Myrcianne Bennett.

He said further that it was easy for him to conjure the lyrics to Beez Hive once he had the accompanying dance.

“Just a studio vibes when I go to the studio and start dance, then I find the melody,” he said.

Beez Hive has more projects in the pipeline for 2019.
