Impeccable Love songs from Carlton Reckford

A fter more than 30 years as a professional singer, Carlton “Peppermint” Reckford is about to release his first album, Impeccable Love . The Florida-based artiste describes it as a collection of love songs.

“My expectation is that people will encounter the love as they sing and reflect over the songs. My focus is really to place emphasis on the importance of love and matters of the heart,” Reckford explained.

The title song is its first release.

“The song is very melodious and spiritually touching. I want this song to help strengthen relationships, because there are too many incidents of domestic violence happening,” he said.

Originally from Trench Town, Reckford made his recording debut in 1982 with Black Man Child for the Silver Moon label. Some of his other songs are Ease Off, Mix Emotions, Petty Cash and Don’t Disrespect Jah.

Nine years ago, he performed at a Jamaica Association of Vintage Artistes and Affiliates (JAVAA) tribute show for Bob Marley and Dennis Brown.
