Truly good times for Lanz
Deejay Lanz is back in the hit trail with two new songs: Truly featuring Cecile and Hug Me . He had success two years ago with the self-produced She Nah Leggo .
Truly is produced by UIM Records while Hug Me was done for StateG Music Group. He began his career as a producer, directing Potential Kidd on the song Yah So Nice before making the transition to an artiste.
“I compose, I’m an engineer, producer, I write and I deejay. I am able to look beyond a song and dissect what makes it a hit,” said Lanz.
He added that She Nah Leggo opened doors for him in new markets. Last year, Manchester-born Lanz performed in the Caribbean and Canada.
Because he wears several hats, he stressed the importance of time management.
“Balancing studio and my artiste career can be challenging sometimes but technology makes things a bit easier and I try to manage my time better when I am in Jamaica,” said Lanz.
