Blissful morning at Lyssons Beach
Partygoers turned out in their numbers for the Ash Wednesday staging of Morning Bliss breakfast party, held in Lyssons Beach in St Thomas.
Patrons, many of whom are from corporate Jamaica, danced up a storm to the musical line-up comprising the talents of DJ National from Miami, Area Code 876, Di Unit with Bada Bling, St Thomas resident DJ Tony P, New Jersey’s DJ Kidd and Entourage (who rocked the crowd with a nice vibe), and Code Red’s DJ Lank and Chris Dymond.
“A lot of work and preparation went into putting this together. We got off to a late start, but it has been a success,” co-promoter Ronique “Patton” Solomon told the Jamaica Observer.
This was the fifth staging of the event, which is usually held three times per year.
Co-promoter Trevor “Jr Bloodline” Smith said Morning Bliss has several ingredients that make it a standout event from the competitors.
“It’s an out of town vibe; you enjoy a good vibe on the beach. We also have great selectors, patrons, good music, and exceptionally good food,” he said.
As the afternoon wound down, red-hot dancehall deejay Chronic Law from St Thomas reeled off an arsenal of his hits, including Hillside and Government. Patrons enjoyed his set.
The next staging of Morning Bliss is scheduled for August 6 at the same venue.
