Holness departs for Caribbean Leaders’ Summit in US
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Prime Minister Andrew Holness this afternoon left the island for Florida, United States, where he will attend the Caribbean Leaders’ Summit.
Holness and invited Caribbean leaders will meet with US President Donald Trump and other US officials, a release from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) said.
The meeting will take place at Trump’s Mar-a-Largo residence starting Friday.
A range of issues will be discussed, the OPM said.
Minister of National Security Dr Horace Chang and Director of Communications at the Office of the Prime Minister Robert Morgan are part of the Prime Minister’s delegation.
While Holness is away from the island, the Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries Audley Shaw will oversee the Government.
The prime minister and delegation will return to the island on Sunday, March 24.
