Silk Legend aims for lasting career
Silk Legend is hoping for a lasting music career and believes the old policy of ‘hard work pays off’ will help him achieve that.
“With each new release, I’m getting one step closer to achieving my goal. I plan to keep making better songs as my career grows. I don’t want to blow up overnight and then disappear,” said the St Thomas-based singjay.
Silk Legend, who is a trained medical technologist, is promoting his latest song, Dusk Till Dawn. It was released last year by Silky Gosh Productions.
Born Garnel Junor, he launched his recording career six years ago with the song System. A past student of Morant Bay High School, he studied medical technology at the University of Technology, Jamaica and voice training at Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts.
Silk Legend is working on his debut album, which is tentatively scheduled for release late this year.
