#Champs2019: JC’s Scott, Jago’s Vascianna take Class 3&2 100m titles
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica College’s Christopher Scott stamped his class to win the boys’ Class Three 100m at the 109th ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletic Championships underway at the National Stadium.
Scott, who established the record of 10.69 during the heats, just failed to lower that time as he won in 10.73 in a positive 1.1 metres per second reading.
He won ahead of Kingston College’s Yourie Lawrence (11.04) and Christopher Seaton (11.12).
Meanwhile, St Jago’s Vashaun Vascianna upset the apple cart winning the boys’ Class two event in 10.38 in a positive 0.7 metres per second wind reading.
Vascianna bettered the KC pair of Bouwahjgie Nkrumie (10.54) and overwhelming favourite Terrique Stennett (10.57).
