Naturisimo is…
• A premium granulated complete seasoning solution with natural ingredients and iodised sea salt.
• By natural, we mean not physically transformed by chemicals
• Natural ingredients include onions, garlic, oregano and parsley
How is it used? Naturisimo can be used:
• For the preparation of a wide range of savoury dishes including meat, fish, rice, pumpkin, potatoes, eggs, stews.
• For pre-seasoning, during the cooking process or after cooking as one would use table salt.
Where can we find Naturisimo? Naturisimo was launched in October 2019 and can be found in leading supermarkets islandwide including the Progressive Group, MegaMart, Hi-Lo and the Lee’s chain of supermarkets. Having this product on the market allows us to participate in a segment in which we have not currently participated: one which is shopped by consumers who seek more flavour and taste.
What is the major challenge of Naturísimo?
Communicating to consumers that it is a complete seasoning and only a minimum amount (less than 1 tsp per lb) is needed to give the recommended flavour profile. Jamaicans are big on taste and we understand that, but we strongly recommend that consumers stick to the suggested usage and gradually increase the amount to their preference. When using Maggi consumers do not need to add salt.
What’s next for Naturísimo?
Introduction of a new format that is MSG-free to cater to a wider cross section of consumers.
Why should Jamaicans support Naturísimo?
When using Maggi Naturísimo complete seasoning, consumers can rest assured that they can season their meals without having to chop and peel as it contains the right combination of herbs and spices such as minced garlic, onion, oregano and parsley, along with iodised sea salt to enhance the flavours of food. We know Jamaica is a food nation and consumers are big on consistent flavours and textures and Maggi has the ability to ‘pump up’ flavours.
Why is Naturísimo successful?
Because it’s all-natural, of course! Think about it: being able to get the taste of our favourite natural herbs and spices without the extra chopping and peeling is a dream come true especially for millennials, professionals on the go or parents who have a lot going on. It also helps that it is a product of Nestlé and forms part of the cooking solutions from Maggi which is synonymous with producing quality products.
If we knew then what we know now… we would have launched other granulated seasonings with the herbs and spices to cater to the Jamaican spice palate. We would also have launched smaller and more affordable formats.
