Jackson Town hunt win over Daniel Town in Trelawny Major League
JACKS ON TOWN, Trelawny — Jackson Town could take over second place in Group One of the Trelawny Football Association Major League today, with a second win of the season over Daniel Town in their return-round game at Jackson Town set to start at 3:30 pm.
Jackson Town had won their first meeting 2-1 and are in third place on eight points but a win would take them a point above Duncans United and two behind leaders Wait-A-Bit PYC, who are on 13 points from five games, one less than the teams chasing them.
Kinloss FC could join Holland United in second place in Group Three if they manage to get all three points from their game against last-placed Granville FC at Kinloss.
The teams had played out a 1-1 draw in the first round and Kinloss FC are on 10 points, three behind Holland United with Coopers Pen leading with 14 points.
In another game today, Rio Bueno FC will be seeking to close the gap on runaway Group Two leaders Duanvale when they meet Spicy Hill at Sea-Road field.
Rio Bueno are in second place on 11 points, six behind the leaders and could cut the lead to three points with a win today.
Spicy Hill, who are in third place on five points, will be seeking to avenge their first-round loss to Rio Bueno and move further away from the lower half of the table.
