Flow to offer Portmore United opportunity for Red Bull MVPs
Telecommunications leader FLOW will be offering six talented players identified through the Red Bull Neymar Five Tournament a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their skills for 2019 Premier League champions Portmore United.
Stephen Miller, FLOW sponsorship & events manager, shared that the partnership is aligned with the company’s new thrust to enhance the lives of and facilitate progress for all Jamaicans.
The six players will train with the highly rated club during the pre-season and be given the chance to impress the coaches. Each FLOW MVP will also receive $50,000 in cash from the telecommunications firm.
“We are excited to partner with internationally renowned energy drink brand Red Bull on this phenomenal project that will undoubtedly put Jamaica once again on the international stage and unlock a world of opportunities for the eventual winning team. At home, FLOW is delighted to be able to give these young talented players an opportunity to secure a professional football career for themselves with a leading football club — a dream for many young Jamaican players,” Miller expressed.
FLOW has teamed up with Red Bull to host six islandwide qualifiers beginning today. The event was launched in Kingston on April 9 and is expected to see hundreds of aspiring football talents lining up for a chance to travelling to Brazil to compete against over 100,000 players from 42 countries.
“It’s the best of both worlds, and we are very excited to once again be travelling across the country on a mission of unearthing and exposing the best talents out there, fully aligned with the vision engendered through this project by its founder, Neymar Jr,” he further highlighted.
The first qualifier will be hosted at the UWI Mona Bowl.
