Lilliput Rovers look to confirm place in St James Sandals Major League final

MONTEGO BAY, St James — Heights FC will have a big task on their hands today if they are to overturn a two-goal deficit when they take on Lilliput Rovers in their return-leg semi-finals of the St James Football Association Sandals Resorts International Major League at the UDC Field set to start at 3:00 pm.

Lilliput Rovers won last week’s first leg 2-0 at the UDC Field and will start favourites today to advance to the final.

Sican Strachan gave Lilliput Rovers the lead in the first game in the 12th minute and they held it until the 85th minute when an attempted clearance by a Heights FC defender saw his overhead kick hit Terrick Dixon in the head and rebound into the unguarded goal, past the Heights FC goalkeeper.

Tomorrow, Violet Kickers and Cambridge FC will meet in their second-leg semi-finals tied at 1-1 also at the UDC Field.
