Two murdered in Riverton City
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Hunts Bay police are probing the shooting of two people in separate incidents in the Riverton City community yesterday.
Dead are 23-year-old Orlando Turner otherwise called ‘Bubu’, of Riverton Crescent and 23-year-old Oraine Davy otherwise called ‘Do Road’, of Westmoreland Avenue.
According to the constabulary’s Corporate Communication Unit (CCU), Davy was at home asleep about 8:10 am when a lone man, reportedly armed with an assault rifle, entered the house and opened gunfire at him.
Nearly 12 hours later, Turner was pounced upon by armed men and shot several times while at home. That shooting occurred about 8:00 pm.
Both men were taken to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
Police said the attackers in both incidents escaped.
Investigations continue.
