Jabez for Freedom Gospel Concert
Gospel singer Jabez is promising “great anointing” for patrons attending the inaugural staging of the Freedom Gospel Concert scheduled for the Portmore HEART Academy in St Catherine on Saturday, May 25.
“They are gonna be blessed. Everybody knows that once Jabez touch the stage the anointing flows. I’ve been encouraging all my fans to come on out and be blessed because it’s going to be awesome,” the headliner told the Jamaica Observer.
“There will be anointed singing throughout; it’s going to be an exciting affair,” he continued.
The occasion is being hosted by the fast-growing Freedom Evangelical Association, headed by Bishop Romeon Facey and his wife, Rev Carolyn Facey. It is located at the Portmore Town Centre Plaza.
Part proceeds from the concert will go towards the church building fund, as well as providing grants for five students attending the Portmore HEART Academy.
“It is a great ministry and I am elated to be part of it,” said Jabez.
Jabez (given name Clive Provost) is known for songs including Drinking From My Saucer, Cancelled, Christian Warrior, I Thirst, and A Nuh One Prayer Mi Pray.
His sophomore set, Reconnect, which was released in December 2016, debuted at number 33 on the Billboard Reggae album chart at the end of January 2017.
Other acts slated for Freedom Gospel Concert are Lucas Musiq, Minister Nicholet Brown, Garfield Reid and Mykal Malachi.
