Shenseea signs to Interscope… New cinema in Portmore… Kim-K trademarks her baby’s name – Around the Entertainment Globe

Missed some important entertainment happenings this week? No biggie: each week we’ll recap some of the entertainment world’s most awe-inspiring moments in an easy-to-read format. This is Around the Entertainment Globe.

Adam Levine says goodbye to NBC’s The Voice

If you’ve gotten used to Maroon 5 front-runner Adam Levine’s presence as a coach on the show, you’re certainly not alone. Adam Levine has been a coach on The Voice since its inception 16 seasons ago but has opted not to return to the show for its 17th season. Replacing him as a coach will be Gwen Stefani, and while we’ll miss Adam and Blake Shelton’s rivalry and witty banter, it might be nice seeing Gwen and Blake on the show together as rivals, given their current status as a pretty serious Hollywood couple.

KKW files trademarks her baby’s name

It has been revealed through publicly filed documents that Kim Kardashian-West has filed for trademark protection of her youngest child’s name. As things are we are uncertain what Kim will chose to do with her son’s name, but we applaud the business woman and mother of four for getting down to business so early. According to the

HuffingtonPost baby Psalm’s name could be used for a number of varied things including but not limited to baby, hair, beauty and skin care products; toys; computer software; and nutritional supplements. Psalm joins his siblings North, Chicago and Saint, as well as his cousins True and Stormi in the trademark name game.

Shenseea drops a tune and signs a record deal Remember that racy Instagram picture of the ShenYeng boss lounging on a bed with another woman? Suspicions were proved correct when the song and accompanying visuals for Blessed featuring Tyga dropped online and that whole conversation was blown out of the water by the news that Shenseea has signed with Interscope Records. This just in: the Dancehall princess certainly knows how to make tongues wag, just like the Queen, Spice. We hope we’ll be making power moves and signing deals at 22 just like Shenseea.

Ed Sheeran announces collaboration project

With his latest single a hot new addition to radio, British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran announced a collaborative project of songs, out on July 12th but currently available for pre-order now. The titles for the 15-track project have been released along with two lead singles –

I Don’t Care with Justin Bieber and

Cross Me ft Chance The Rapper and PnB Rock. Sheeran shows depth of emotion and range between the two songs that have been released. On

I Don’t Care he is an anxiety-riddled homebody who would rather be anywhere than at a party and on

Cross Me he goes toe to toe with anyone who dares step to his lady.

Portmore movie-goers at ease Palace Amusement has announced that they will indeed open their newest cinema in Portmore. To be named after its location, Sunshine Palace will be located in the Sunshine Outlet Mall and will host approximately 700 seats. Sunshine Palace will join Palace Cineplex, Carib 5 Cinema and Palace Multiplex as the movie theatres operated by Palace Amusement.
