• NCB 2019 Innovation Internship

The National Commercial Bank (NCB) is seeking big thinkers and tech stars to be a part of the financial firm’s digital and agile movement through its Innovation Internship.

The eight-week programme invites the best and brightest university students to gain work experience, and find digital solutions to consumer challenges in real time while earning a competitive salary, and with the prospect of joining the NCB team after graduation.

The bank says the Innovation Internship is one of the ways it invests in the Caribbean’s brightest young talent. It provides high-quality work experience which exposes interns to agile software development, design thinking, analytics, and a hands-on opportunity to develop working prototypes that have the potential to transform financial services.

Fifteen applicants will be selected for the internship, which runs from June 17 – July 26.

The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights’ (IACHR’s) internship programme, managed in conjunction with the OAS Internship Program, is now open for application.

The placement period is September 12 to December 6, 2019, at the IACHR secretariat in Washington, DC.

According to the IACHR and the OAS, the programme gives young students and recent graduates from OAS member states the opportunity to learn about the IACHR, and work in applying the protection mechanisms provided by the inter-American human rights system.

The IACHR has opportunities in law, international relations, political sceince, international cooperation and fund-raising, journalism, graphic and web design, computer and information technology, and translation.

During the internship, participants have the opportunity to work with the executive secretariat’s professionals and staff on the various activities carried out by the IACHR, with an overall objective of learning about the commission’s work, and acquiring practical training in the area of human rights.

Interested applicants should apply via the OAS Internship Program website before June 2.

The internships are unpaid.
