JCA T20 Bashment 4th & 5th rounds on this weekend

The preliminary stage of the Jamaica Cricket Association T20 Bashment culminates this weekend with fourth- and fifth-round matches scheduled for today and tomorrow.

As part of a Zone A double-header today at Nelson Oval in east Kingston, hosts Lucas CC, who are on three points, set sights on Boys’ Town CC (zero point) in the morning encounter. In the afternoon, zone leaders Kensington CC (nine points) meet Kingston & St Andrew CA (three points).

In the zone’s other contest St Thomas CA (six points) welcome Kingston CC (six points) to Factories Oval.

In Zone B, Clarendon CA, who have a perfect nine points from three games, face Manchester CA (six points) in the second clash of the double-header at Windalco. The opening encounter at the venue features hosts St Catherine CA (three points) and parish rivals St Catherine CC (three points).

Also in Zone B, Westmoreland CA (zero point) entertain St Elizabeth CA (six points) at Paradise Ground.

A top-of-the-zone clash looms in Zone C as St Mary CA (six points) lock horns with Hanover CA (six points) at Dumfries.

Also today, University of the West Indies, who lead Zone D with seven points, battle G C Foster College (two points) in the afternoon game at Up Park Camp. In the early encounter at the venue, Jamaica Defence Force (four points) host Police (four points).

In the other Zone D contest Melbourne CC (four points) welcome Portland CA (two points) to Melbourne Oval.

A full slate of zone matches is also on tomorrow.

At the end of the preliminary stage the four zone winners will advance to the semi-finals.

11:00 am — Melbourne vs Portland @ Melbourne Oval

2:00 pm — G C Foster vs UWI @ Up Park Camp
