Man pleads guilty to cocaine trafficking
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man, who was held with $1.1 million worth of cocaine in his vehicle earlier this year, pleaded guilty possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, and trafficking cocaine in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court yesterday.
The police said Everett Johnson, was arrested and charged with breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act after the Toyota Camry motorcar he was driving, was intercepted along Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston, searched and one kilogram of cocaine found about 3:55 pm on February 8.
The cocaine and the motor car were seized.
The matter was adjourned for sentencing on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 and Johnson’s bail extended.
