Layer and vary the types of lighting used in your space. Ensure that you incorporate not only tasklighting such as recessed lights and ceiling lights but also decorative lighting from table lamps. Lightingfixtures, including ceiling fans and chandeliers, can create a huge visual impact.
In many newer residences the kitchen is the heart of the home and, as such, it is a space that shouldn’t be neglected. Choosing the right coordinating backsplash, countertopsand cabinets can be overwhelming, but achieving the “right” combination can set the tone for the open living concept. In this home we installed classic subway tiles in aherringbone pattern for their simplicity.
