Ashley Furniture Homestore Conversation in Design

Last Saturday, the Jamaica Observer Design Week Ja 2019 — presented by Kohler — initiated its series of Conversations in Design at the Ashley Furniture Homestore in Kingston. With word that Ashley international interior designer Dee Breton-Deleon was poised to share her knowledge over cocktails, design aficionados, stakeholders, and furniture shoppers cleared their schedules and headed to the store’s upper level to be immersed in the world of Ashley.

Deleon, who in an interview with the Jamaica Observer , said she appreciates the cheerful, vivid, and bold designs exclusive to the Ashley stores in Jamaica, detailed the brand’s international aesthetic and its importance in the company’s design DNA. Powered by Vantage One, cocktails flowed as conversations continued into the evening. Saxaphonist Conrad Saxmelody meanwhile gave guests the opportunity to move and groove as they perused Ashley’s offerings.

With questions answered and knowledge in hand attendees sipped, schmoozed, and shopped, proving that #JOLDesignWeekJA2019 was off to a great start!
