Trelawny police seize two firearms, arrest three men
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Three men were taken into police custody following the seizure of two firearms and 12 rounds of ammunition during an operation by members of the security forces in Falmouth, Trelawny today, Friday, October 4.
Reports from the Falmouth Police are that about 5:00 am, a search warrant was executed at a premises and during the search a bag with the firearms and ammunition was found under a fence. The men occupying the premises were subsequently detained.
Meanwhile, in St Andrew, police seized a Smith & Wesson pistol along with six 9mm cartridges on Greenwich Crescent, on Thursday, October 3.
Reports are that about 3:10 pm, a team of officers searched a premises and the firearm and ammunition were found. No one was taken into custody in connection with this seizure.
