JLP councillor Kim Brown-Lawrence charged in Ruel Reid corruption probe
Jamaica Labour Party councillor for the Brown’s Town Division Kim Brown-Lawrence is set to appear in court on Thursday (Oct 10).
She was arrested and charged Wednesday, hours after she was picked up during one of the four raids carried out by police as part of the probe into a corruption scandal that has dogged the ruling party. She is being represented by attorney Christopher Townsend.
Brown-Lawrence was arrested Wednesday morning as Ruel Reid, his wife and daughter along with President of the Caribbean Maritime University were being detained.
