Man held with firearm in Harbour View

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 24-year-old man was yesterday charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, following the recovery of a Ruger Pistol and several rounds of ammunition.

The Elletson Road police report that lawmen on operation about 11:00 am, approached and searched the accused,  Michael Green, in the Melbrook Heights area of Harbour View, Kingston.

The officers reportedly found him possession of the firearm and 15 rounds of ammunition.

Green is scheduled to appear before the Corporate Area Gun Court on Monday, October 14.
