Hanover police seize firearm, arrest three people
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Two men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition after a Firestar 9mm pistol fitted with a magazine containing ten 9mm rounds of ammunition was seized in Great River, Hanover yesterday, October 22.
Reports from the Lucea police are that about 11:05 pm, lawmen conducting vehicular checks in the area stopped a motorcar. The vehicle along with its occupants was then searched and the firearm and ammunition found inside the car.
The identities of the three people taken into custody are being withheld pending further investigations, the police said.
