11 arrested in St James gun find

ST JAMES, Jamaica – The St James police say they have arrested 11 people in connection with the discovery of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition on Barnett Street in Montego Bay last Thursday.

According to the police, a bar was searched by officers who were on patrol in the area about 8:00 pm. During the search a Tanfoglio 9mm pistol with a magazine containing nine rounds of ammunition was found.

The police are currently withholding the identities of the people taken into custody as investigations continue.
