Daley returns as St JFA boss
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Gregory Daley will return as president of the St James Football Association after he was nominated unopposed for the position going into Monday’s Annual General Meeting, set for Corinaldi Avenue Primary in Montego Bay, starting at 6:00 pm.
Five of the six positions were unopposed and will see Dennis Waite, who was general secretary, moving to first vice-president, while his position will be taken by Richard Dennis of Bogue FC.
Tracey Reid of Granville United will be the new assistant secretary, while Gavin McNeil will assume the role of treasurer.
Jeffrey Forbes and Gregory Palmer were both nominated for the second vice-president position.
The nominations for each position were made to the St James FA by October 14, seven days after the notice of the meeting, a release from the St James FA said earlier this month.
Nominations for the five council members will be accepted from the floor on Monday, the release added.
All affiliates of the St James FA are entitled to two votes and the names of the delegates must be submitted to the FA on, or before October 20.
