Gucci Stamp Boss, Iesha pop style
GAVIN “Gucci Stamp Boss” Farrier and Iesha McKenzie were selected as the Most Stylish Male and Female, respectively, in the second staging of the Campari Pop Style 2019 held at Rudolph Elder Park in Morant Bay, St Thomas, last Saturday.
Each received a cash prize of $100,000.
Farrier shared how he prepared for the event.
“I was just at home chillin’ then I heard there’s a fashion show tonight; I just had a feeling to come out to the show. I check out my suits and I said: ‘I feel like this outfit will win the competition tonight’. So right now, I’m going to draft up my thing and come back, because I know I have to win grand finals,” he said.
He was dressed in an all-black Gucci ensemble, topped with a Gucci fedora hat, and a stuffed miniature gorilla.
McKenzie thwarted her competitors with her crop top, paired with boyfriend jeans, which she gave some ‘pop’ with a pair of beige, chunky heels.
“My hairdresser and my sister inspired me to come out with this look tonight,” said McKenzie.
She has her sights set on the grand final.
“To make sure I win at grand finals and take home the big prize, I will be creating one of the most stylish outfits Jamaica has ever seen!” she said.
Both winners will have automatic spots in the grand finale, where they will each shoot for the $250,000 cash prize.
The judges were Sulliman “Fashion Barber” Brown, alongside designer Tony Krash, YouTuber; Sue-Ann Gordon “Petite Essence” Pitter; and make-up artist, Brittany Miller.
The 2019 CAMPARI Pop Style competition will have two more stops: Salem, St Ann on November 9th; and the grand finale on November 30 at Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in Kingston.
The first leg was held on October 12 in Junction, St Elizabeth.
