Davianah is one of the confirmed acts for the annual Sound di Alarm music festival held at the Dinthill Sports Complex in St Catherine on December 31.

“I am looking forward to performing for my fans at Iba Mahr’s event, especially because of the great work that the artiste does with the Linstead hospital,” Davianah said.

Spearheaded by Iba Mahr four years ago, Sound di Alarm raises money for the Linstead Hospital.

“I always wanted to be part of the show because it lines up with my charitable targets,” she told the Jamaica Observer.

Jesse Royal, Lutan Fyah and Chuck Fenda are also confirmed for this year’s staging.

Davianah, daughter of reggae singer Tony Rebel, is gaining traction with her month-old single Good Vibes. It was released on Twhizz label and has an accompanying video.

“ Good Vibes and my other single My Money are doing so well, and that is a good sign towards building my brand,” Davianah said. “The reaction to the song has been incredible so far.”

According to her, both singles will be included in her Rasta Pickney EP, which will be released next year.

Born July 28, 1992, Davianah debuted at Reggae Sumfest 2011 during Tony Rebel’s set, doing a cover of Estelle’s Come Over which elicited a huge response from the crowd. She performed on Reggae Sumfest 2017 and Reggae on the Hill in Barbados.
