Jada Kingdom gets into Twitter spat with Tessellated over ‘Banana’ credits
Dancehall singjay Jada Kingdom minced little words with fellow Jamaican artiste and producer Tessellated on Twitter last night, over the credits to her hit single Banana.
The war of words started after @Reggaeology rightly put Tessellated on the list of credits for writing the infectious hit, but Jada was not having it, deciding that the merits to Banana are solely hers.

“ARE YOU [expletive deleted] DUMB!!!??? or a clout unu a look?,” Jada Kingdom replied, adding, “HIM WRITE WAH? WHEN? FI WHO? aye likkle [expletive deleted]! MOVE UP! doh triet wid mi!”
But Tessellated, in his measured response,
said he wasn’t trying to claim credit for writing the lyrics, but rather for producing
the track’s instrumentals – therefore making his claim for credit valid.
To clear anything up, I’m not claiming to have written the words for Banana – I produced the track and therefore have writing credits. Simple. — tessellated (@tessellated)

The conversation quickly took on a life of
its own, as persons on either side of the debate weighed in on the legitimacy
of Tessellated’s writing credits.
Checks by BUZZ on the credits do show Kingdom and Tessellated among the list of persons with writers’ credits, both with their birth names Jada Murphy and Joshua Meeks registered.
