BMR Wind gives back
MALVERN, St Elizabeth — A desire to “give back” motivated a “massively” attended pre-Christmas children’s treat hosted by BMR Wind Jamaica here recently, according to that company’s Regional Director Ava Tomlin.
“BMR just wanted to give back something to the entire community,” Tomlin told the Jamaica Observer Central.
BMR Wind Jamaica, a subsidiary of the Richard Branson-owned BMR Energy LLC, operates a large wind farm in Malvern, supplying energy to electricity provider Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS Co).
Tomlin said 300 children from the Malvern area received gifts, enjoyed games and other entertainment at the treat on the grounds of Bethlehem College.
“It went very well,” she said.
Packaged gifts for children of all ages was a feature of the BMR children’s treat.
