Caution: I Love Soca was hot!
I Love Soca Jamaica continued its mission to position soca as fun and entertaining when it returned to Sabina Park, Kingston, on Boxing Day.
Thousands of soca lovers, who flooded the venue, were in for a treat with performances by soca star Skinny Fabulous and dancehall legend Bounty Killer.
The exhaustive star-studded line-up of local and international DJs had the crowd fully fueled and captivated by their extensive catalogues. The line-up included Richie Ras and Cyclone, Franco and Brush1, Miami Dream Team, DJ Tyler and Marlon Musique, Riggo Suave, Jazzy T and Delano, Nuphoric and Cardo.
Switching between soca and dancehall was the perfect way to get partygoers
involved, as they danced up a strom.
Patrons showed out in light, yet lustful pieces that marked the event as
a fashionable runway. The beauties came out their short cute distressed shorts to
complement their appealing tops. Not to be outdone, many men paired their shorts
with sneakers.
As one of Jamaica’s biggest and leading soca party experiences, the brand
challenged itself to bring to life a construction site under the theme ‘Caution’.
Upon entry, patrons were thrown into a musical decompartmentalised
dimension catering to a diverse audience. Enhanced by cautionary yellow tapes
plastered around the event and bulldozers at strategic points, the brand has
undoubtedly outdone itself once again for its Boxing Day edition.
And as the event grows, it continues to impress patrons like Zoey Scott,
who told BUZZ that the event was worth every dollar.
“It was a lot of fun. The DJs played soca 2020 songs which they rarely
do. The money was worth the experience,” she said.
