Traffic authority suspends testing for driver’s licences
THE Ministry of Transport and Mining will, effective next Monday, suspend all driving examinations at Island Traffic Authority depots islandwide for a period of 14 days.
These include testing for the provisional driver’s (learner’s) licences, yard and road tests.
This action, said the ministry, bolsters precautionary measures already in place to safeguard customers and workers from the spread of the new coronavirus, and is in keeping with the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ guidelines.
During this period, the adjustment in procedure for testing motor vehicles for certification of fitness remains in place, said the ministry.
