115 Jamaicans enroute from UK, says British High Commissioner
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The British High Commissioner to Jamaica, Asif Ahmad, says a TUI Airways flight has left Bournemouth, England with 115 Jamaicans heading home.
He made the announcement in a tweet this morning.
Ahmad said the flight is expected to arrive in Kingston this afternoon after a brief stop in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Among the 115 Jamaicans, are the 43 crew members of the Marella Discovery 2 cruise ship, who for more than a month were stuck at sea.
The Jamaicans will be tested and placed in quarantine facilities for 14 days.
