Pipeline work to disrupt water supply to Spanish Town Road, environs
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising the public that water supply distribution on the Spanish Town Road network in St Andrew will be suspended in order to facilitate pipeline interconnection work along the network.
The NWC said that this “very necessary repairs” will require a period of 24-36 hours for completion and therefore customers are being urged to store water for use during this period.
Start date and time for the work is scheduled for 10:00 pm on Friday, March 12, with restoration date planned for 6:00 am on Sunday, March 14, 2021.
Areas to be impacted include Cooreville Gardens and New Haven, sections of Washington Gardens, Marcus Garvey Drive, Spanish Town Road and all roads leading off.
The NWC said that every effort will be made to restore water supply ahead of the stipulated timelines.
