Smooth sailing as COVID Vaccination starts in Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Senior medical officer at the Mandeville Regional Hospital, Dr Everton McIntosh was the first essential worker in this south-central parish to receive his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this morning.
McIntosh told journalists that approximately 40 essential workers are to be vaccinated today.
“We will be sent up for this three days each week — Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays,” he said.
He said the number of staff being infected with the virus has subsided with most staff who had tested positive returning to work.
