JDF urges Homestead residents to give information on shooting

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica— The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) is urging residents of the Homestead community in St Catherine who may have information about this morning’s shooting to come forward.

Two members of the JDF were shot and injured this morning while they conducting duties in the area as part of a joint police/military team.

According to a statement from the JDF, the two injured soldiers are being treated at hospital.

One man also reportedly died following the early morning firefight.

The JDF urged persons to call the its tip hotline at 876-837-8888 with any information they have.
