Police High Command condemns killing of cop in Westmoreland
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — The Police High Command has issued a statement condemning the brutal attack on a police constable in Chantilly, Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland on Friday, April 15.

The policeman has been identified as 47-year-old Richard Barrett, a constable who was assigned to the Little London Police Station.
It is reported that Barrett was gunned down at his business establishment
The High Command expressed condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the slain constable, adding that the Constabulary is committed to conducting a thorough and detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding Barrett’s murder.
“The Police will not be deterred by this latest attack. They will continue their focus on ridding communities of guns, gunmen and gangs who continue to cause death, pain and mayhem,” the High Command said.
