WATCH: Fiery protest as West Kingston residents continue to demand justice for man killed by soldier
For the third consecutive day, irate protesters have taken to the streets of Denham Town to demonstrate the killing of 32-year-old Horaine Glenn by a member of the Jamaica Defense Force on Saturday.
Several residents, clad in white clothing and armed with placards, walked the streets chanting for justice as they declared Glenn was innocently murdered by law enforcers. Using anything they could get their hands on, protesters blocked the roads in the community which has been declared a zone of special operations (ZOSO).
Residents maintain Glenn was shot in cold blood and accused some soldiers of abusing their power.

Law enforcers, however, tell a different story of the clash between themselves and residents. According to the police, a JDF team was conducting an operation in the community at about 6:20 pm on Saturday when a group of men aroused their suspicion. The team reportedly approached the men and proceeded to search them.
During their search, Glenn, who reportedly had a beer bottle in his hand, proceeded to pour the contents onto a member of the JDF. The police say an attempt was subsequently made to take Glenn into custody when he allegedly ran into a yard at 97 Charles Street. He was pursued and is said to have attempted to disarm a soldier when he was shot.
JDF in a statement issued over the weekend said an internal investigation has been launched into the incident. They have since urged residents in the community to cooperate while the security forces conduct operations within the space to ensure the safety of law-abiding citizens.
