Harba Chill was a hit!
It was strictly good vibes, beautiful women, and music at Harba Chill on April 3.
“It’s a refreshing feeling being able to attend events once again as opposed to being inside all the time. It feels great to be able to be outside and not worry about the curfew again. It will take some getting used to, but I don’t think I can get enough of it. Kudos to Harba Chill team for putting on a lovely event and allowing me to have a memorable experience,” patron Devontay Davis told the Jamaica Observer.
Harba Chill, which celebrated its 4th staging, took over the luxurious Grand Hotel Excelsior located in Port Royal. Patrons were greeted by the lovely waitresses from the Pink Ambassadors promotional team as they made their way inside the venue. Complimentary drinks were provided by 24 Karat Beer and Scout.
The evening’s energy level never waned with musical juggling from DJ Trizzy, Little Richie, and Javy Supreme.
One of the event’s promoters, Molech Brown, said that he was delighted with the turnout at the event.
“The event was a great success considering that we were forced to stop for two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic. So receiving a turnout like what we got makes me feel overwhelmed. I was anticipating 600 people and the ticket sales show that we surpassed that amount,” he said.
Brown shared his highlight of the event.
“My highlight of the event was the performances of Dyani and Street Genna. What also stood out was when a random female patron went onto the stage and literally took over the party. She became the main focus with her hypnotising dancing moves,” he said.
He explained the reason behind hosting the event at Port Royal, which is one of the oldest and most historic sites in Jamaica.
“I selected Grand Hotel Excelsior as the venue because I’m a native of the community and also the general manager of the hotel. Kingston Harbour is the seventh largest habour in the world and we decided to name our event Harba Chill as a representation of [this] historic landmark,” Brown said.
He said that patrons should not miss the next staging of the event.
“The next staging will be on July 23. Patrons should come out because we are going bigger and better for this staging of the event. We will have special guests specially assigned to the next staging of Harba Chill. We will have a wide range of surprises for our patrons,” he said.
