Business Notes – April 27

Executive and Director Appointments

Dennis Hawkins resigned as an executive director of Spur Tree Spices Jamaica Limited while Stephen Ricketts was appointed as director of the board on April 19.

Marsha Bucknor was appointed manager of sales and customer experience at tTech Limited on July 12, 2021. Moneshe Hutchinson was appointed the human resources manager at tTech on April 1, 2021.

Market Sales and Events

Excel Investments sold 1,713,894 shares of Elite Diagnostic Limited on April 11. Eppley Caribbean Property Fund repurchased 2,120 shares between April 11-14 under its share buy-back programme. A connected party of Kingston Wharves Limited (KW) sold 3,619,118 shares at $34.01 for a consideration of $123.09 million on April 20. A director and senior officer of KW purchased 56,688 shares under the company’s employee share ownership programme on April 12. A connected party of IronRock Insurance Company Limited sold 7,760 shares on February 25. A director of Mailpac Group Limited bought 3,030,000 shares between April 11 to 13. Mayberry Jamaican Equities Limited (MJE) purchased 28,754,895 shares of Jamaican Teas Limited (JAMT) at $3.40 for a consideration of $97.77 million from a director and connected party on April 14. A director of JAMT sold 600,000 shares on April 8 while a connected party sold 3,617,783 shares between April 6 to 7. A director of MJE sold 5,500,000 shares at $10.55, for a consideration of $58.03 million, to a director and connected parties on April 20.

Indies Pharma Jamaica Limited has declared a dividend of $0.113 to be paid on May 26 to shareholders on record as of May 6. This payment totals $150.58 million.

Massy Holdings Limited has opted to file its audited financials within 60 days, as per JSE rules.

Kingston Properties Limited’s 2021 annual report has been delayed from April 30 to May 30.
