Gas prices up $4.50, diesel down $0.25
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Motorists should see an increase at the pumps in the prices of gasoline and a decrease in the price of diesel, effective Thursday, May 19, according to the latest ex-refinery costs from Petrojam.
With both grades of gasoline up by $4.50, 87-octane gasoline will be sold for $207.14 per litre and 90-octane gasoline will be sold for $212.16 per litre.
Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $211.20 per litre after a decrease of $0.25, while ultra-low sulphur diesel will be sold for $213.94 per litre after a decrease of $0.25.
Kerosene also decreased in price by $0.25 and will be sold for $184.06 per litre.
Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $76.57 per litre down by $1.94 and butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $86.09 per litre after a decrease of $2.64.
Marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark-up to these prices.
